In the designs of my clothing, you can find a clear presence of femininity, in contrast with the kukeri (special costumes used for traditional folklore rituals in the past in Bulgaria) being a traditionally male role. Besides giving a modern twist to tradition, it also show much society’s perception of gender has shifted. We are realizing the importance of women outside of their homes.
